![]() I am using the toolchain provided by TomTom. My plan is to get it working with the internal GUI, so OpenGL and GTK support is not needed by now, but may be added later. Meanwhile I have experimented quite a bit and tried porting Navit to TomTom Linux. I don't have any experience porting software to new platforms, but I do have some experience in programming and cross compiling, so I would be happy to contribute. If you have any advice how to port Navit to TomTom, please let me know. These devices also have audio capabilities, so it should in principle be possible to get speech output working as well. Someone from this site already tried porting Navit:Īt least LibSDL has already been ported successfully (so one should be able to use Navit's internal GUI?): This site provides quite detailed hardware information: There is a lot of information available on the web. ![]() However, I am not familiar with the Navit source, so I don't know what actually needs to be ported. Are there any plans to port Navit to TomTom GPS devices? It looks rather simple to me, as these devices have an ARM CPU and natively run Linux, and Navit has already been ported to handheld devices with a similar architecture.
